Itandehui's Portafolio

For the 3-Day Project I created 2 mugs and my initials. I glazed the initials pink. I made a crown and added drips at the bottom of the base. This can be used as a room decoration.

I created a slab box by cutting out square shapes, and then attaching them together. For the slab box I added cross designs. I glazed the box purple. This box can be used to keep jewelry. 

This is a light blue slab cylinder. I added a flower design on it because I like nature and flowers. This can be used to store pencils, art supplies, or hair combs. 

For the Alebrije Project I chose to do a Parrot. I chose to do a Parrot because I have had one before and I like the fact that they are very colorful. I painted a Parrot, and I added a beach background. On the sides I painted Palm Trees, and I drew the Parrot standing on a branch. 

For the coil pot project I decided to create my pot with spirals, twists, and strands. I created a pattern with them, and I also decided to paint it light gray. This pot can be used to place artificial flowers inside. 

Words: Stay strong, even when it's hard.   This is a Royal Blue Pinch Pot with them theme of the word Stay Strong, even when it's Hard. I chose these six words because I believe that staying motivated and not giving up is very important. On my pot I added a muscle (yellow muscle in the front). I added it there because it symbolizes someone strong, someone who does not give up. On the sides I added two flags and a plane because sometimes it is hard to be separated from a loved one and that has happened to me before. I also added to hands moving apart and rain drops because it also symbolizes being away from someone, and the rain symbolizes hard times. On the other side I drew a rainbow and it symbolizes a happy ending after staying strong. This pinch pot can be used to place many items inside such as jewelry and it can also be used as decoration.
